Who we are
Citepoint is a done-for-you service that helps B2B brands get cited and recommended by AI answer engines. For the purposes of this policy, the data controller is Jude Rosen, trading as Citepoint, contactable at hello@citepoint.ai.
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Scan submissions and full audit requests: your website URL and email address.
- Bookings: your name, email, and anything you add when scheduling a call.
- Correspondence: the contents of emails or messages you send us.
- Engagements: if you become a client, the information needed to deliver the service.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) kept by our hosting provider for security and operation.
How we use your information
- To run your free scan and respond to full audit requests.
- To schedule and hold calls you book.
- To respond to you, and to provide and improve our services.
- To send service-related messages and, where permitted, relevant follow-ups you can opt out of at any time.
- To meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business, performance of a contract with you, and compliance with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, CDN, and logs.
- Resend: delivery of full audit request and transactional emails.
- Zoho Mail: our business inbox and correspondence.
- Cal.com: call scheduling.
- Google: calendar and video for booked calls.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above (for example, to respond to your scan or full audit request, maintain a client relationship, and meet legal obligations), then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@citepoint.ai and we’ll respond within the timeframe the law requires.
International transfers
We and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Cookies & analytics
The site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps where required.
