Terms of Service

Last updated June 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of citepoint.ai and any services Citepoint (“we,” “us”) provides. By using the site or engaging us, you agree to them. Questions? Email hello@citepoint.ai.

Agreement to terms

By accessing this site or engaging our services you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or our services.

What we provide

Citepoint helps B2B brands get cited and recommended by AI answer engines through a measured system of on-site content and schema, off-site authority building, and monthly measurement. The specific deliverables for a paid engagement are set out in your order or statement of work (“SOW”), which together with these terms forms our agreement.

The free scan

The free AI-visibility scan is provided for information only, carries no obligation, and its findings are point-in-time estimates based on the engines and queries we check. Sample reports and figures shown on the site are illustrative and are not real client data.

Engagements & fees

Paid engagements are billed monthly in advance at the rates in your order/SOW. Unless stated otherwise, the initial term is 90 days, after which the engagement continues month-to-month and either party may cancel with 30 days’ notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

No guarantee of results

AI engines decide what they cite, and their behavior changes constantly and is outside our control. We do not and cannot guarantee any specific citation, ranking, placement, traffic, or revenue. What we commit to is the work itself and the agreed leading indicators, for example, content shipped, placements pursued, and queries tracked, reported transparently each month. Anyone who promises guaranteed AI citations is misrepresenting how these systems work.

Third-party platforms

Our services depend on third-party platforms and AI engines we do not control. We are not responsible for their availability, policies, or changes, including changes that affect your visibility or our ability to deliver.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information and timely approvals.
  • Ensure you own or have the rights to your website and any materials you provide to us.

On full payment, you own the final deliverables we create specifically for you and publish on your behalf. We retain ownership of our methods, know-how, templates, and tools, and may use general learnings (excluding your confidential information) to improve our services. The Citepoint name, site, and content remain ours.

Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other’s non-public information shared for the engagement and use it only to perform under the agreement.

The site and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the site or services is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content or materials you provide, or from your breach of these terms.

Term & termination

Either party may end an engagement in accordance with the order/SOW. We may suspend or terminate access to the site or services for breach of these terms.
